As a publicly accessible collection, the Bonner Artothek consists of more than 1700 works by international and locally renowned artists, which can be borrowed for a small fee. The Artothek has developed into one of Germany's most comprehensive lohn collection and since its establishment in 1987, more than 2000 individuals and companies have used more than 30.000 times the service of the Artothek.
The Artotheks are regarded as institutes of cultural education, which is reflected in expert advice, but also in cooperation with other institutions.
Despite the important and multi-faceted tasks, many Artotheks are struggling to survive and have to consider strategies for their future.
That is why we would like to discuss with our guests questions such as: Why are Artotheks also an indispensable institution in the future? What represents the major hurdles that the Artotheks need to overcome in the near future? What are models that have proven themselves to you to hold and acquire new members? How could a possible cooperation between Artotheks could look like?
