On Saturday, September 19, the Bonner Kunstverein is hosting a celebration in memory of its former director and longtime colleague Annelie Pohlen (1944–2026). The memorial service begins at 3:00 p.m. We hope to spend the afternoon and evening together with you all.

Annelie Pohlen’s family and we hope for a personal, lively, and warm celebration where we can remember her together and share many stories of her with one another. In the exhibition hall, we will present materials documenting her extensive, moving, and for many of us formative work. Over a buffet prepared by Sonja Alhäuser and drinks, we’d like to reflect together on Annelie Pohlen’s life and work, share stories, and create space for personal encounters and conversations.
