This particular ‘room’ is dedicated to the American philosopher Richard Rorty, a pragmatist who famously asserted that there is no real or objective truth, only ‘what your contemporaries let you get away with’. Anne-Mie Van Kerckhoven (b. 1951, Antwerp) has held recent solo exhibitions at the Kunsthalle Fridericianum, Kassel; M HKA, Antwerp (2018); Kunstverein Hannover (2017); Museum Abteiberg, Mönchengladbach (2016); Kunstverein Münich (2015); Mu.ZEE, Ostend (2012) and The Renaissance Society, Chicago (2011). She lives and works in Antwerp.
