In her painting, Jadé Fadojutimi reflects on the fragility of identity and its relationship to the environment. Many of Fadojutimi's works depict mysterious landscapes that lie on the border between figuration and abstraction - an attempt to create a form of reality that is separate from the real world and yet runs parallel to it. Jadé Fadojutimi's (b. 1993, London) work has been shown at Skarstedt Gallery, London (2020); Galerie Gisela Capitain, Cologne (2019) and Richmond Museum, London (2017), among others. In 2021, her work will be presented at the 11th Liverpool Biennial and in a solo exhibition at the Hepworth Wakefield Museum. Fadojutimi lives and works in London.
