Liam Neff’s paintings slide between the hyper-realistic to surrealistic. Focusing in on scenes and objects that, in passing, would appear less remarkable, Neff’s paintings saturate their focus with an intensity of color and detail that would be impossible to convey in reality. Scenic and idyllic, the details rendered appear almost layered by a digital apparatus, but instead highlight the eternal possibilities of paint. Liam Neff (b. 1989, Chicago, US) is an artist living and working in Brooklyn, NY. He has had a solo exhibition at Le Maximum Venice, Los Angeles (2021).
