In collaboration with dancer and choreographer Miri Lee and poet Jane Lewty, Jennifer Tee will present a durational performance with dancers Céline HyunJin Barreau and David Kam, with readings by Leonie Runte, Katharina Geyer and Kyla McDonald. This piece activates the works in the exhibition by considering the act of resistance on both a physical and spiritual plane. The title of the work – PIECE RESIST – comes from a text written by Jane Lewty, which includes collaged quotes from the work ‘Resist Stack of Books’ in Tee’s exhibition. The performances will take place in the exhibition space and are approximately one hour in duration.
