58 x 36 x 37 cm

Anodized aluminium, LED lamp, cable, lamp socket, screws

Unique, with certificate

Nicolas Pelzers work seemingly leaps through various dimensions, always leaving the human being at the center of it. Evolving Masters (2017-2019) is a series of hanging light works, each individually shaped by digitally modified hands. It looks as if the handprints made of anodized aluminum were searching for the light, proving their presence in the room. Nicolas Pelzer asks whether the human still has the authority to be named master of his tools. (Luisa Schlotterbeck) Nicolas Pelzer's (b. 1982, Dinslaken, DE) work has been shown at Spinnerei Leipzig (2018); Skulpturenmuseum Glaskasten, Marl (2017, 2013) and Kunstverein für die Rheinlande und Westfalen; Düsseldorf (2010). Nicolas Pelzer lives in Berlin.
