Tamina Amadyar's brightly coloured paintings translate personal memories of places and situations into reduced, biomorphic elements that often touch, delimit or overlap. By exploring colour as a material, Amadyar explores the reciprocal relationship between transparency, density, light, shadow and spatiality. Tamina Amadyar (born 1989, Kabul) has had solo and group exhibitions at the following institutions Oldenburger Kunstverein (2019); Kunstverein Reutlingen; KINDL - Centre for Contemporary Art, Berlin (2018) and Kunsthaus Essen (2017). Amadyar lives and works in Berlin.
