Produced exclusively for Bonner Kunstverein, this series of framed and three- dimensional collages combine a broad range of synthetic materials and popular imagery that are recurrent within Schippers’ graphic and sculptural works. Wim T. Schippers (b. 1942, Groningen) has held significant solo exhibitions at the Museum Fodor, Amsterdam (1962); Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam (1970; 1978 and 1994) and the Centraal Museum, Utrecht (1997). His work is held in several public collections including the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam; Centraal Museum, Utrecht and Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam. Bonner Kunstverein organised a retrospective of his work in 2016. He lives and works in Amsterdam.
