Kürten’s edition translates her signature use of text and images into a wearable form. Her T-shirts and the poster that accompanies them references a style of advertising that was adopted by several high street fashion brands that used ‘real’ people rather than professional models for their campaigns. Sarah Kürten (born 1983, Cologne) has exhibited at Bonner Kunstverein, Bielefelder Kunstverein (2018); Kestner Gesellschaft, Hanover (2017) and Kunstverein für die Rheinlande und Westfalen in Düsseldorf (2016). She was awarded the Kunstverein’s Peter Mertes Stipendium in 2017. Kürten lives and works in Düsseldorf and Berlin.
