On Tuesday, 5 September, we reconvene for our monthly dinner in a conversation focused on the history, collection, and ethos of Bonner Kunstverein's Artothek.

In dialogue with its head, Heike Kirchhoff, we will be looking at this public collection, founded in 1987 as a lending library to enable an accessible, affordable and circulation-based mode of living with art. Today the collection has over 2,000 works, both original artworks and editions with artists including Bernd and Hilla Becher, Katharina Sieverding, Anna and Bernhard Blume, Joseph Beuys, Marina Abramović, Ulay, General Idea, Marlene Dumas, Mark Leckey, Josephine Pryde and Frances Scholz, amongst others.

This conversation is both an exploration of the collection and a discussion around the idea of artworks based in the commons and its relation with some of the founding ideals of the Kunstverein model.

The Stammtisch is free for members and students. For everyone else, we kindly ask for a donation of 5 euros. Drinks and a light meal will be served.
